The Honest Verdict

Gemini is a genuinely good AI tool that is being slept on by a lot of people because ChatGPT got there first and built a bigger reputation. The Google Workspace integration is legitimately useful – being able to ask Gemini to summarize your emails, draft a reply, or pull information from a document you have open is a real time saver.

But for general use – writing help, brainstorming, answering questions, having a conversation – ChatGPT and Claude are still ahead on quality and feel. Gemini is closing the gap but is not there yet.
